Wastelands

Allison Ashley is a multidisciplinary artist who focuses on the vulnerability of the human experience and our connection to one another. Moving with her family at a young age across the country ignited a curiosity for other cultures and experiences, and a desire to learn. Throughout her 20s Allison lived and sojourned overseas, these experiences led her to create pieces observing the idea of home, sacrifice, community, and hope during loss. Her work takes on a symbolic experiential element to invite those who engage with them into a journey of their processes, contemplation, conversations and release. It is by no means a coincidence that Allison’s middle name is Hope, as it is a centric theme wrestled within her body of work.
